Relief Efforts
to Aid Hurricane Katrina Victims
SAN
JOSE, CA—September 7, 2005—The Viet Heritage Society,
United Vietnamese Americans, BeyondFun Services, Silicon
Valley Businesses, and Community Based Organizations (CBO)
announce the Vietnamese Americans are joining in the
national effort to assist the victims of the Hurricane
Katrina. A
fundraising event is being hosted at the Capital
Club Athletic, 196 North 3rd Street, San Jose, California,
on Friday, September 9, 2005, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Remarks
by City of San Jose; Dang
Pham & Dr. Sherman Tran from the American Red Cross,
Santa Clara Chapter; Thuy Vu, former Anchor ABC will begin speaking at 7:45 pm.
Immediately following the American Red Cross
presentation, a spectacular entertainment program is
scheduled for the attendees until 1:00 AM. There will also
be a Silent Auction to raise additional funds for the
relief effort.
